The Nashville Career Advancement Center (NCAC) is pleased to announce the selection of Patrick Combs as its new Executive Director. Combs’ background in law and his experience in workforce development are beneficial assets to NCAC, a Metro Nashville Agency operating in partnership with the American Job Center. Most recently, Combs served as the Director of Operations for the Workforce Development Division of the NYC Department of Small Business Services.
“NCAC is a critical partner in our efforts to expand economic opportunity throughout Nashville, and I am confident that Patrick Combs is the right person to lead the organization,” said Mayor Megan Barry. “NCAC is playing a vital role in my youth employment initiative, Opportunity NOW, as well as the Nashville Construction Readiness Partnership which identifies and trains Nashville workers for good-paying construction jobs.”
Combs began his new position at NCAC on January 9, 2017. The selection was made after a nationwide search and selection process that included over 80 applicants. “We are excited about Patrick joining us and continuing to build upon the legacy of this great organization, which for so many years was led by the exceptional work of [retiree] Paul Haynes and his team,” says Charles I. Story, Chairman of the Middle Tennessee Workforce Development Board.
Combs received his undergraduate from the University of Maryland College Park and earned a Juris Doctorate from the Fordham University School of Law.
